Male and Female Dragoons

The Dragoon, also known as Lancer, is a Job class from Final Fantasy Tactics. A physically-based Job, Dragoons don't fear heights, since their Jump command lets them reach nearly anywhere on the map, provided they have learned enough Horizontal Jump abilities. Dragoons also have access to the Ignore Elevation ability, meaning the Jump +X abilities become slightly redundant. Likewise, If the horizontal and vertical Jump 8 skills are learned, it becomes pointless to get the other, weaker Jump attacks, except for the sake of mastering the Job. This is because the game allows you to jump any number of spaces between your character and eight spaces away without the other abilities. It costs 6,760 JP to master this Job.

Since the player cannot check the Active Turn list for the exact turn of landing, to avoid missing the target one should understand the mechanics of Jump attack well. The Speed of the Jump command is twice of the attacker's own Speed. If the attacker has the same Speed as the target, the target will not move before the landing when his/her/its CT is currently below 50%. If the target has higher speed than the attacker, it's wiser to jump on that target when his/her/its CT is much lower.
