The Dragon halberd is the strongest halberd available, and can only be wielded by members who have at least 60 Attack and 30 Strength and have completed the Regicide quest. It can be purchased from the Quartermaster at Tyras Camp for 325,000 coins, although the weapon's price on the Grand Exchange is significantly lower. It has the highest slash and stab bonuses of any Dragon weapon, but it is (as with all halberds) a slow, two-handed weapon.
The dragon halberd has a special attack called Sweep that consists of a powerful horizontal slash. The attack can strike more than one opponent in multi-combat areas and will therefore hit up to three small monsters if they are lined up properly, next to one another. Against large opponents (opponents that take up more than one square, as listed below), the halberd will hit twice. This attack drains 30% of the special attack bar and also may hit harder than a standard attack. It is the only melee weapon that can be used from a safe spot. This weapon is very useful when killing blue dragons in Taverley Dungeon since it gives a large stab bonus, the special attack hits decently and it can be used from a safe spot. Care, however, should be taken when killing dragons with a halberd as an anti-dragon shield cannot be used at the same time as a halberd. It is somewhat commonly used by member pures due to the fact it has a very good slash bonus and a good special attack.
