Dragon arrows are the strongest type of arrow. They can only be shot with the Dark bow at level 60 Ranged. The Dragon arrows were released at 11 June 2007 along with the Impetuous Impulses minigame. The only impling that drops the Dragon arrow tips is the Dragon impling, which is rare and hard to catch, requiring at least level 83 Hunter. Completing Dragon arrows requires level 90 Fletching and a headless arrow. Despite their strength, the high cost of dragon arrows makes them un-popular for much besides PVP or high levelled monsters.

Many players thought that these arrowtips could be acquired by killing a Dragon, because of the examine option. Furthermore, these and dragon darts are not red in colour and are not precisely Dragon (metal) items.

When the Dark bow's special attack is fired using dragon arrows, a maximum of 50% more damage can be inflicted with a minimum of 8 damage per arrow. The maximum hit with this special attack and void robes is 51+51 damage with the total to 102. This is impossible to hit on a player unless they have increased their hitpoints above 99.

If a player is using Dragon arrows in a Safe spot, it is recommended that the player use Telekinetic Grab spell to retrieve his/her arrows, as the cost of losing a Dragon arrow outweighs the cost of casting the spell.

Dragon arrows are usually only used in PvP combat situations.
