A detailed pair of Dragon platelegs.

Dragon platelegs are a piece of Dragon armour that require 60 Defence to be worn. They can only be obtained as drops from Bronze Dragons, Iron Dragons, Steel Dragons, or through trade (either facilitated by the Grand Exchange or with other players). They have the same bonuses as the Dragon plateskirt, but cost vastly more (approximately 4.5 times more expensive) than the equivalent plateskirt. Due to this, many players have decided to purchase the Dragon plateskirt instead, since it is a cheaper option. Dragon platelegs can no longer be gained as a drop from PvP worlds, however, Corrupt dragon platelegs can be.

Since the introduction of the Grand Exchange, the price of this once-expensive item has dropped from a little over 2,000,000 coins (its highest) to around one million coins, where it hovers.

On 25 March 2009, the Dragon legs were updated and now have spikes on the knees.

As with most Dragon equipment (besides the Dragon platebody and the Dragon sq shield), this item cannot be made using the Smithing skill.

  • After the updates of March 25, 2009, the graphical interface of the dragon platelegs slightly changed, by adding spikes to the knees.
  • When worn the legs have spikes on them but not when they are in the inventory.
  • When wearing Dragon platelegs with the Orb of oculus, the legs stretch and touch the orb.
