The Draconic Visage is a very rare drop from iron, steel, black and mithril dragons, as well as Skeletal Wyverns, and the King Black Dragon.
A player with level 90 Smithing is able to combine an Anti-dragon shield with the visage to create the Dragonfire shield, granting 2,000 Smithing experience. Alternatively, players may use the Assist System to forge the shield, which is highly recommended. In order to do this, the visage needs to be taken to an anvil along with an Anti-dragon shield and a hammer. Another method of smithing the Dragonfire shield is by paying Oziach, the smith of Dragon Slayer, the sum of 1.25 million (1,250,000) coins to join the shield's components together.
The Draconic visage is a "bonus" drop. This means that it is included in a dragon's main drop, and it is never the main drop itself, meaning it can be dropped as well as another item, such as the Dragon platelegs. In a Knowledge Base update [1] on February 1, 2010, Jagex stated that the Ring of Wealth affects only the rare drop table common to many monsters (drops from this table include crystal key halves, dragon shield left half, etc.) and that the Draconic Visage is not a part of this table.
