Displacement
Lionheart
requirements: Level 11, must have Die Hard Perk
ranks: 1
benefit: When your HP falls below 20%, you gain +10 to AC, +1 AG, Mana regeneration is doubled

Displacement is a Lionheart Perk. It does not appear in any other SPECIAL game.

When being seriously injured, you partially connect with the spiritual world, slipping your body out of phase with reality. When your hit points fall below 20% of their maximum, you partially fade out, granting +10 to your armor class and +1 Agility. While in this state, your Mana regeneration doubles.

Notes

  • This spirit will die quickly in the midst of a fight. However, it will provide a short respite for healers. It is best to have one up before the fight starts so that by the time the actual fighting takes place, the spirit is ready to be used again.
  • Combine with Armor of Unfeeling to double the number of times the spirit can block for you.
Image:Bug.png Bug! The spirit's lifespan duration does not decrease in the status window.

Displacement is an article written by August Hahn and Cynthia Hahn as a tie in to the Living Force campaign. It was published on the Wizards of the Coast website on November 18, 2004 and related the bounty hunters Caranna and Tendin Vought receiving a job. However, neither hunter was prepared to work with the other and ultimately Caranna incapacitated Vought with poison and took on the job herself.

In the context of the Living Force campaign, it marked the availability of certain items from the Roleplaying Game Revised Core Rulebook.
