Deep Space Station K-7 was a civilian-owned Federation space station located near Sherman's Planet and the Klingon border. The station was also called Deep Space K-7. (ST website: The Path to 2409)

In 2267, it was the site of storage for quadrotriticale destined for Sherman's Planet. The USS Enterprise responded to a distress call from the station, which turned out to be false. The Enterprise transferred guards to the station to protect the grain. (TOS episode: "The Trouble with Tribbles")

The crew of Deep Space 9 were brought to the station from 2373, when Arne Darvin used the Bajoran Orb of Time to transport the USS Defiant back in time, so he could kill Captain Kirk. The crew were able to find the tribble Darvin had a planted a bomb in and saved Kirk's life. (DS9 episode: "Trials and Tribble-ations")

By the 2340s, K-7 had fallen into disrepair and the station hadn't been upgraded or refitted in decades. In 2343, Lieutenant Commander Elias Vaughn met Lorgh in the station's bar and discussed the continued problem between the Klingons and Cardassians on Raknal V and about the rising threat of the Romulans. (TLE novel: The Art of the Impossible)

In 2391 unsuccessful peace talks were held between the Klingon Empire, Gorn and Nausicaans at the station; these only lasted for two days before an explosion and subsequent murder of a Klingon extremist (the body was ejected into space but had snagged onto the outside of the station). Deep Space Station K-7 in 2268

Deep Space Station K-7 was a civilian Federation space station in the 23rd century near the border to the Klingon Empire.

The station was located about 3.2 light years from the next Klingon outpost and mainly consisted of storage areas and industrial fabrication facilities with only little habitable space. (TOS: "The Trouble with Tribbles"; TAS: "More Tribbles, More Troubles")

It was at least two hundred light years from the 24th century borders of the Cardassian Union. (DS9: "Trials and Tribble-ations")

By 2380, the station was run by a Starfleet contingent, serving as a diplomatic meeting ground for the three major powers. It was nicknamed "Junction Point." (Junction Point)

Alternately, in Star Trek: Elite Force II by 2380 the station had become run down and was operated by a band of "space pirates".

In 2388 the USS Pioneer stopped off at the station looking for a Betazoid informant. When they arrived some of the crew were pulled back in time. This meant that three seperate time zones were converging on the station. Captain Maxwell's involvement turned out to be a predestination paradox, he was there for a reason, to stop the station being blown up by the Suliban. (Star Trek: Pioneer (PNR): "Tribble Trouble")

The Pioneer version of K-7 is the same as in Elite Force II.
