Deep Space Station Seven or "Deep Space 7" is a Federation Starbase operating along the Romulan Neutral Zone. It was built in the late 2360s from the salvaged remains of Deep Space 6, which was destroyed during construction by a freak accident in 2363. Its communications, sensor, and defensive systems all feature state-of-the-art technology. Starfleet Intelligence maintains a significant presence on board. (Last Unicorn Games RPG: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Core Game Book)

In 2357, Admiral Owen Paris led the USS Icarus on the Arias expedition. They were headed for the galactic rim, 600 light years beyond Deep Space 7. (VOY novel: Mosaic)

NOTE: The existence of Deep Space 7 in 2357 contradicts its construction information given in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Core Game Book (Mosaic was published three years earlier)

In late 2379, the USS Seyetik docked at DS7 to take aboard Doctor Shenti Yisec Eres Ree and transport him to the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards so that he could assume the role of chief medical officer aboard the USS Titan. (TTN novel: Taking Wing)

Deep Space 7 was a Federation starbase operating in the 24th century.

In 2375, Lieutenant Commander Chakotay pretended to have arrived from the Romulan Neutral Zone via Deep Space 7 in the Species 8472 recreation of Starfleet Academy. (VOY: "In the Flesh")

The USS Phoenix-X was forced to stop off at Deep Space 7 for major repairs to their hull and operating systems after having an encounter with a molecular reversion field. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X: "Life 2")

It is likely that Section 31 was forced to somehow conspire the use of the repair crew for the Phoenix-X here.

Contents

The Starbase

Deep Space 7 contains a starship repair drydock, large enough to fit at least one starship. There are Command Office's with window's over-looking this drydock, and therefore having a view of any ship in repair at the starbase.

Repair Work

In 2383, the Phoenix-X received major repairs to the hull and shields, gaining, at the very most, a complete overhaul of defensive systems.

Additional Information

  • The starbase has been known to carry leather couch seating throughout its room decor.
  • Long-range subspace communications with Starfleet Command were possible in 2383.
