Publisher's Summary

'Take Arcadia apart if you have to.'

The middle of the twenty-fifth century. The Dalek war is drawing to an untidy close. Earth’s Office of External Operation is trying to extend its influence over the corporations that have controlled human-occupied space since man first ventured to the stars.

Agent Isabelle Defries is leading one expedition. Among her barely-controllable squad is an explosives expert who calls herself Ace. Their destination: Arcadia.

A non-technological paradise? A living laboratory for a centuries-long experiment? Fuel for a super-being? Even when Ace and Benny discover the truth, the Doctor refuses to listen to them.

Nothing is what it seems to be.

Early Life

Deceit did not know who his parents were and remained unaware throughout his life. He was stranded and picked up by an old women. He grew up with her and her friends, never knowing who to call family.

Establishing a Name and Business

Wandering Coruscant's lower levels, Deceit came upon a Mercenary named Ash Fang in 1062 BBY. Together, they worked their way up a large business called Fang Industries. When they had a name, they made an organization. They used their talents to group together some co-workers, their friends, their families and others, and made a group known as Brotherhood. Throughout the years of the business, they made a name for themselves, making drama and chaos in parts of Coruscant. Shortly after, Fang was forced out.

Completely forgetting who Ash Fang was, Deceit hired him as a protector against assassination attempts. However, when alone with Deceit, Ash lightly slit the throat of Deceit, making him suffer. After a few minutes, Fang stabbed the man with a single stab the the temple.
