The Dark dagger is used in the Legends' Quest. It is sometimes confused with the black dagger.

Its stats are similar to a bronze dagger, except it has +1 more in stab and slash bonuses and no strength bonus, making it one of the weakest daggers in the game, despite looking like one of the sharpest.

During the Legends' quest, it is given by the ghost Echned Zekin. The dagger is given to Ugandulu for a holy spell, or if you chose the quick route in the quest, used on the "hat", then given to Echned Zekin, who turns out to be the demon.

If you want your own for personal use, drop it once you get it and speak to him again. This weapon cannot be poisoned.

Trivia

• The dark dagger was the first obsidian weapon in RuneScape.
• Its examine info suggests that obsidian weapons can be enchanted.
• If you have a Dark Dagger and have finished the Legends' Quest, you can still obtain the Glowing Dagger by going down to the hat, try to take it, then use the dagger on him. This will cause you to lose the Dark Dagger though.
