A detailed Corrupt dragon scimitar.

The Corrupt dragon scimitar was released on 15 October 2008 along with the PvP worlds. It is the strongest scimitar available to non-members, but it crumbles to dust after 30 minutes of wielding. It requires 60 Attack to wield.

Players can receive this item either by trading with another player, or by receiving it as a very rare drop from killing another player in PvP worlds or Bounty Worlds. After this item was introduced, the price was about 3 million coins, and the Corrupt dragon battleaxe was 3.3 million. Lately this item has been decreasing in price due to more being brought into the game.

The maximum hit of this weapon with the correct equipment in a F2P world is 31, which is the same as the maximum hit of a rune 2h sword. This makes the corrupt dragon scimitar a faster version of a Rune 2h Sword, making it very deadly.

  • Although the regular Dragon Scimitar image and look was updated on 28 July 2009, the corrupt version was not changed until later.
  • This item does not need the completion of Monkey Madness to wield, as it is a free-to-play item and Monkey Madness is a member's-only quest.
  • Even though the Scimitar only lasts 30 minutes, its costs over 20 times more than the original.
  • Corrupt Dragon Scimitar has been updated on unknown date.
