Dofus Wiki

Up to date as of January 31, 2010
(Redirected to Command article)

From Dofus

A list of the various commands that can be used in the chat box.

<character> means the target character's name. As a general rule, anywhere you can use a character name you can also use an account name by putting an asterisk (*) in front of it. So to message Bill on the account Ted, you can either "/w Bill" or "/w *Ted".

Also note that if a character is offline, they are no different from not existing at all. You cannot even add them to your friend list by account name.

Contents

General

  • /aping - shows average ping time in milliseconds(ms) for the last 50 packets.
  • /away - toggles "away". While away, you don't receive private messages.
  • /clear - clears chat box.
  • /enemy a <character name> - add the character to your enemy list.
  • /f a (or /f +) <character> - add the character to your friend list
  • /f d (or /f -, /f r) <character name> - remove the character from your friend list.
  • /help (or /h, /?) - shows help.
  • /ignore a <character name> - add the character to your enemy list.
  • /invisible - toggles "invisible". While invisible, you are away to everyone not on your friends list.
  • /invite <character> - invite character to your group/party.
  • /kick <character> - kick a player during the setup phase. Only during setup phase, and only by the fight starter.
  • /list (or /players) - shows players in a fight.
  • /logout (or /quit) - logs you out.
  • /mapid - shows the current room's map ID.
  • /ping - shows ping time in milliseconds(ms).
  • /release - Releases your soul if you run out of energy.
  • /selection (on/off) - Allows one to highlight and copy from chat box.
  • /spectator (or /s) - toggle "spectator mode".
  • /time - shows dofus universal time.
  • /version (or /ver, /about) - shows version info.
  • /whoami - same as /whois <your name>.
  • /whois <character> - shows info about the character.

Chat

You put the text after the command, obviously.

  • /a - speaks in Alignment chat if you are above rank 3 or have an alignment order (level 21+).
  • /b - speaks in Trade chat.
  • /g - speaks in Guild chat.
  • /i - speaks in Incarnam chat. This is the newbies/help chat.
  • /p - speaks in Group/Party chat.
  • Page Up (key) or Shift (key) + Up Arrow (key) - reply in chat.
  • /r - speaks in Recruitment chat.
  • /t - speaks in Team or Spectator chat.
  • /think - shows whatever you type in a thinking bubble (Black Text Mode Only).
  • /w (or /msg, /whisper) <character> - sends a private message to the character.
  • /me or /em or /emote or *<text>* - displays the text as an emote. (ex. MrMunchie is bored, where "is bored" is the inserted text).

Magic Words

These magic words can be used in all chat channels.

  •  %area% - Inserts your character's current region in Dofus... eg. Astrub.
  •  %guild% - Inserts your character's current guild name.
  •  %level% - Inserts your character's current level (you can also type %lv% for same thing).
  •  %life%, %hp% or %maxhp% - Inserts your character's current number of health points, or max health during a fight.
  •  %me% or %name% - Inserts your character's name into the chat window.
  •  %pos% or %loc% - Inserts your character's current coordinates in the chat window.
  •  %stats% - Inserts your character's statistics, and bonuses... eg. Str, Agi, Intel.
  •  %subarea% - Inserts your character's current location inside a region in Dofus... eg. The Cemetery. (This is useful in dungeons as it will often print out the room you are in).
  •  %xp% - Inserts your character's percentage of current level complete.

These must be learned first, see emotes.

Guild Wars

Up to date as of February 01, 2010
(Redirected to Chat command article)

From GuildWiki

When entered into the chat, commands will perform a specific action. Some are just shortcuts to send a message to other chat channels and some will display information about your character. They are sometimes also referred to as "slash commands".

Contents

Emotes

An emote is a special type of command, that will make your character perform an animation that can be seen by all nearby players. Please visit the emotes page for a list of emotes.

Informational commands

These commands will display information about your character. This information is only visible for you.

  • /age shows the number of months since creating the current character, the time you played Guild Wars in hours, minutes and days on the current character, and on your account, and also how long you have been on a specific map.
  • /deaths displays how many times your current character has died.
  • /favor either displays how many more titles have to be maxed to achieve Favor of the Gods, or displays how many minutes of favor are left.
  • /health displays your current health and energy.
  • /help brings up the help panel.
  • /hp does the same as /health.
  • /wiki brings up a warning message, and after confirmation, opens the wiki.guildwars.com Main Page.
  • /wiki search term opens the wiki as does /wiki, but on the result of the search.
Note: You cannot use /wiki to access GuildWiki.

Miscellaneous

All commands that do not fit into any other category are listed here.

  • /bonus Restores your preorder items (Only if you have any bonus items added to your account)
  • /bonusitems same as /preorder
  • /bug Send a bug report to ArenaNet. This command doesn't function anymore. It was originally introduced for the beta testing phase of the game.
  • /cokeplay This command is connected to a promotion with the Coca Cola company. Only for Korean players. See also: Coke Items
  • /giveup When used in PvP by all team members, the other team is victorious. It also works in PvE explorable areas and missions, killing the team members and popping up the 'Return to outpost' button for the party leader. Doing this will not increase the death count displayed by "/deaths".
  • /.gm Displays "Unable to obtain right 'game master'." Presumably used by a Game Master to activate their GM rights on a character.
  • /invite <name> Invite someone to your group (Works in an outpost only)
  • /ip Displays the IP of the server you are connected to. You can get the same info by hovering the mouse pointer over the Performance Monitor.
  • /kick <name> Kick someone out of your group (Works in an outpost only)
  • /leave Leave your party (Works in an outpost only)
  • /namepet <name> Name your pet (type only "/namepet" to reset the pet's name)
  • /petname <name> Same as /namepet
  • /preorder Prints a list of your preorder items to your chat (Works in an outpost only)
  • /report <name> Reports a player to the GM team
  • /resign Same as /giveup
  • /roll <n> (rolls an n-sided die [2-100 sides], only works in Guild Halls and outside of towns and outposts, due to scamming when it could be used in outposts.)
  • /special Creates any special items unlocked for the account in your character inventory
  • /stuck often frees your character if he/she becomes stuck in scenery

Chat commands

These commands are shortcuts to send a message to a specific channel without having to select the channel itself. This is useful if you only want to send a message to, for example, your guild while not having selected the channel.

  • /a Send a message to everyone
  • /g Send a message to your guild
  • /p Send a message to your party (group)
  • /trade Send a message to the trade channel
  • /ally Send a message to your alliance.

All of the following commands will send a whisper message to someone. First of all, you need to type the command, then the name of the receiver of the message and finally the message, separated by a comma. The comma is needed so the game knows where the name ends and where the message starts. Example:

If you want to send "do you want to start a group?" to Mr. Jack, you will have to type:

/t Mr. Jack, do you want to start a group?
  • /t Send a whisper message to someone
  • /tell Same as /t
  • /w Same as /t
  • /whisper Same as /t

City of Heroes

Up to date as of January 31, 2010
(Redirected to Slash Commands article)

From City of Heroes Wiki

Contents

Overview

In City of Heroes and City of Villains, there are a number of commands that can be typed on the chat command line to execute various functions. These are known as slash commands, because they begin with a slash (/). Slash commands often have underscores within the name to improve legibility, but they are not needed to actually take effect, i.e. /PowExec_Name, /Pow_Exec_Name, /P_o_w_E_x_e_c_n_a_m_e all perform the same way. Almost every action taken in the game is a slash command bound to a key. The number 1 is "pow_exec_slot 1", which executes the power in slot 1 of your power tray. Some slash commands, such as the movement commands, should not be called from the chatbox without taking care and knowing what will occur. See List of Slash Commands for a list of known slash commands; see also Category:Slash Commands.

Concatenating Commands

Multiple commands may be strung together for simultaneous execution using the '$$' operator. For example, the following command will cause a character to say "Ready!" and perform the "thumbsup" emote at the same time.

/say <color black><bgcolor #22aa22>Ready!$$emote thumbsup

Note that when concatenating two or more commands, the slash is used on only the first command.

Substitution Strings

Substitution strings allow you to create commands that will display the same basic behavior each time they are used, but will vary slightly depending on certain variable conditions such as your current character or your currently selected target. Several pre-defined substitution strings exist and are denoted by a single '$' prefix:

  • $archetype - the archetype of your character
  • $battlecry - your character's battlecry, as entered on your character ID screen
  • $level - your character's current level
  • $name - your character's name
  • $origin - your character's origin
  • $target - your currently selected target's name

For example, if a level 12 natural-origin scrapper named Captain Obvious were to target a Behemoth Overlord, the following command would cause him to say "I, Captain Obvious, a level 12 natural scrapper, challenge you, Behemoth Overlord, to a battle to the death!" in his currently selected chat channel.

/say "I, $name, a level $level $origin $archetype, challenge you, $target, to a battle to the death!"

The same command, executed by a level 42 magic-origin brute named Mauler who is targeting Arbiter Howe would cause the character to say, "I, Mauler, a level 42 magic brute, challenge you, Arbiter Howe, to a battle to the death!"
