Clive Merrison (b. 1945) is an actor actor who played Fenelon-Barnes in The English Patient, with make-up and prosthetics by Jim Henson's Creature Shop.

Merrison starred as Sherlock Holmes in a series of BBC Radio adaptations and pastiches, running off and on from 1989 until 2002. As a stage actor, Merrison was in the original cast of Tom Stoppard's Jumpers, appeared in The Misanthrope and various Shakespearean works, and The Madness of George III (as Dr. Willis). In 2004, he originated the role of the Headmaster in Alan Benntt's play The History Boys, reprising the role on Broadway, for radio, on film, and in various other venues.

On television, Merrison guest starred on Doctor Who (as Callum in "Tomb of the Cybermen" and the deputy chief caretaker in "Paradise Towers") and such series as Lexx, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Agatha Christie's Partners in Crime, and Yes, Prime Minister. His other film credits include Firefox (with Clint Eastwood and Freddie Jones), Heavenly Creatures, Saving Grace, and Jeroen Krabbé's The Discovery of Heaven.
