Mr Cleaver
Also known as:
Race: Human
Home Planet: Earth
Home Era: 21st century
Appearances: DW: Boom Town
Actor: William Thomas

Mr Cleaver was a Welsh nuclear adviser, charged by the Government with investigating the Blaidd Drwg Power Station Project. He realised that the power station was badly designed, fearing that the suppression pool would cause the hydrogen recombiners to fail. Thus the containment isolation system would collapse, resulting in a meltdown - a potential nuclear explosion which would take most of South Wales with it. After posting some of his fears on Clive Finch's internet site, by then run by Mickey Smith, he reported his findings to the Mayor of Cardiff, former MI5 operative Margaret Blaine, only to discover as she decapitated him that she was actually Blon Fel-Fotch Passameer-Day Slitheen, a member of the alien Slitheen family. (DW: Boom Town)

Behind the Scenes

Due to the fact that Eve Myles played Gwenyth and Gwen he could be related to Gwen's father as they are both played by the same man.

Description

The Tyrian version of the Cleaver is a double-bladed axe that features unique markings on the blade. It is most widely recognized as the one used by the henchman Little Thom, and is identical in appearance to one of the Battle Axe skins.

The Factions weapon with the same name resembles an ornate meat cleaver. This version is the standard axe available from Canthan Collectors and Weaponsmiths.

Location

Cleavers are a random drop. They do not seem to be more or less common in any particular area. The double-edged cleavers commonly drop in Tyria and in the Realms of the Gods. The meat cleavers only drop in Cantha. The double-edged ones have also been seen dropping from forbidden chests in Raisu Palace.

Dye

  • You can only dye the grip of the Canthan version. It doesn't change the blade color.
  • Dye affects the entire axe for the Tyrian version, but the blade portion has a slight rainbow effect. The swirls on the blade dye accordingly with some dyes more noticable than others.

Cleaver
Used mainly by butchers and Chinese cooks, a cleaver is an axlike cutting tool. Its flat sides can be used for pounding, as in tenderizing meat. Cleavers are usually heavy for their size, but evenly weighted. A good cleaver can cut through bone just as easily as it can chop vegetables. The butt end can be used as a pestle to pulverize seeds or other food items; the flat side is also great for crushing garlic.

Runescape

Up to date as of February 07, 2010

From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape

The cleaver is a melee kitchen weapon that can be bought from the Culinaromancer's chest. To wield the player must have completed the entire Recipe for Disaster quest. This weapon has the same stats as the Rune scimitar. It is members only. It has a requirement of 40 Attack to wield.

Some players may prefer this to using a Rune Scimitar, as it is almost half the price when bought off of the G.E. However, it is more conventional to have a Rune Scimitar, as it doesn't require completion of any quests.
