The following is based on Van Buren and has not been confirmed by canon sources.

Clay is one of the Denver salvagers. Nondescript. Doesn't smile. He's put too much work into his claim to leave now. Tends to punch people who suggest they leave Denver. Doesn't mix well with others. He had no status or work role until he came out here, and now he feels he has a chance to make his fortune.

History

Clay was a hitman with the ability to create duplicates of himself. He was hired by Chicago mob boss to kill Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man, who possessed powers similar to Clay. He apparently died of a gun shot wound[1]. However, Clay recently returned[2], working for the Purity Singers. He and Solo subdued Siryn and M when they attended a Purity Singers concert, leaving them bound in a small building in the middle of the desert. This meant that the Clay that died, who could have been either the original or a dupe, was not the only extant at the time.

From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape

This article is about clay as it is mined. For the form of clay used mainly in Crafting, see Soft clay. For the rock that clay comes from, see Clay rock. For the clay used in Stealing Creation, see Sacred clay.
Clay

Clay (sometimes called Hard clay to distinguish it from soft clay) is a material that players can obtain with level 1 mining , to gain 5 Mining experience points. Players can mine clay rocks at the Crafting Guild, the Dwarven Mine, the Grand Tree Mine, Port Khazard, Rimmington and south-west Varrock.

If a player uses water on clay, soft clay is created. This is used to make pottery in Crafting, furniture in Construction and Magic tablets.

If a bracelet of clay is worn while mining, soft clay is mined instead of clay for 28 uses per bracelet.

It is extremely rare to find a gem in a clay rock, about 1 in 350 rocks mined.

Trivia

  • Clay is the fastest respawning rock as it respawns in just two seconds.
