The Chocobo Eater is an Eater-type boss from Final Fantasy X.

The Chocobo Eater is quite tough for the early stages of the game and players who have been ignoring the Sphere Grid will be very unprepared for the battle. This boss is susceptible to Fire attacks, so Lulu's magic, Kimahri's Fire Breath Overdrive, and Ifrit will be useful. The Chocobo Eater can either be defeated outright or pushed over the edge of the Highroad, however it can also push the party over the cliff, where the battle will end but no AP or items will be awarded. To make the battle easier make sure everyone has full overdrive and Lulu knows Fira. It generally has high defense, but if you knock him over then physical attacks will do normal damage. To knock him over you have to do a high amount of damage with one attack, so an Aeon's overdrive, especially Ifrit's Hellfire, is a sure way to do lots of damage. So remember to heal often, and whenever it says "You're next!", it will attack that character next.
