History

She watched her parents die in a food riot, fighting for the scraps to feed her. She was placed in a Girls' School that was more akin to a prison. The Headmistress, and all the girls, grew to hate her, stealing from her, beating her, and putting her in the headmistress' "punishment chair" so often it became "Charma's Chair".

She learned she was a mutant with a hypnotic effect on others - females want to hurt her, males cannot bear her being in pain. The headmistress contacted Grimbor to help imprison her, but Grimbor took her away.

Abilities

She apparently must be seen or heard in order for her hypnotic effect occur, not mere proximity.
