"Cause and Effect" is the twenty-fourth episode of Star Trek: Daedalus - Reversed Polarities. The episode is also the first episode in the Out of Time story arc.

Summary

Mortimus awakes to find himself lying on a mortuary table at the Royal Hope Hospital on Earth in 2009. Struggling to remember how he arrived there he glances into a mirror and finds that he has once again regenerated. With the help of a very confused doctor, Martha Jones, Mortimus makes his way back to the Pharos Project observatory to attempt to track down his friends and companions.
