Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

Galuf returns here after he gets his memory back and begins leading the war against Exdeath. However, due to a high energy blast during a rescue mission in which Gilgamesh imprisons Bartz, Lenna, and Faris, Galuf is blown to a continent far away, and only Krile returns safely. However, they eventually arrive in the Moogle Village. Since Moogles can communicate long distances, and since Krile can talk to Moogles, she comes to their rescue on her Wind Drake. However, once they return to Bal, this makes the wind drake sick, and Bartz, Lenna, Galuf, and Faris set out to get dragon grass, which will heal the wind drake. They get the grass from Drakenvale, but Krile's wind drake refuses to eat it as it killed other wind drakes when it was contaminated. Lenna decides to eat some of the grass, but it makes her sick, as the grass is poisonous to humans. The wind drake finally eats it and was healthy again, and Bartz and his friends use it to travel the world. The party regroups at Bal after Galuf dies, and Krile joins the party permanently.

During the Third World, the party can access the basement of Bal Castle via the Jachol Cave. In the basement, they find Odin, the legendary Summon, who can join them if they manage to defeat it within one minute. Also in the Third World, it is possible to return to Bal Castle, go up to the Wind Drake, and be able to use it once again as a means of flight.
