Cassiopeia
Type: Constellation
Mentions: DW: Logopolis

Cassiopeia is a constellation seen from Earth and named by Humans after the Greek goddess Cassiopeia, who boasted about her beauty.

After the Krynoid on Earth was destroyed, the Doctor tried to take Sarah Jane Smith on a vacation to Cassiopeia. However, the TARDIS instead materialized in Antarctica as Doctor had forgotten to reset the coordinates. (DW: The Seeds of Doom)

A Charged Vacuum Emboitment that shunted entropy from N-Space into E-Space existed in this constellation. When the universe was hanging by a thread and entropy was taking over, the Doctor and the Master sent the reboot program from the Pharos Project on Earth to the CVE in Cassiopeia using a light speed overdrive. The signal arrived and restarted the CVE, stopping the entropy. (DW: Logopolis)

Many billions of years later, the CVE at Cassiopeia finally closed. (NA: Timewyrm: Apocalypse)

Cassiopeia is a constellation visible from Earth, named for its characterization as a mythical queen of the same name.

When star-gazing from Sespe in California in the 2270s, James T. Kirk traced over the constellations, through Lacerta, until he found Cassiopeia's border of the Andromeda constellation, moving on to Triangulum constellation near where he knew the too-faint-to-be-seen Romulan homesun would be. (TOS novel: "My Enemy, My Ally")

History

Red Trinity, consisting of Anatole, Bebeck, and Cassiopeia, was created by Dr. Pytor Orloff of the Puleski Institute. They were modeled after the American Flash.

Anatole and Bebeck had wanted to leave the Soviet Union for America, but Cassiopeia did not want to abandon their motherland. However, when the Flash came to take Dr. Orloff to America to help save Dr. Jerry McGee, they all agreed to go.

After battling Blue Trinity on the Finnish border, all three of them and the Flash collapsed. They were sent to Syracuse University Hospital to be treated. After recovering, they tried contacting the Flash, but couldn't get a hold of him. When they went to his mansion, they found him under attack by Blue Trinity. Fortunately, they were able to drive the villains away, or Flash would have been badly injured.

Excited with the prospects of American capitalism, the three of them formed the Kapitalist Kourier Service, Inc., a high-speed courier service.

Kapitalist Kourier soon grew to overwhelming popularity with the press, getting all sorts of great assignments, often booking their schedules several weeks in advance. They have devoted a half of a day every Friday to charity work.

Tragically, Cassiopeia fell to his death while deliver a package running up the side of a building when Savitar stole the speed for other speedsters.
