A Chaos Dwarf Hand Cannoneer is a Chaos dwarf with a hand cannon. This monster was released on 9 September 2009 in the quest Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf.
Players who kill these have a chance of obtaining the Dragon pickaxe, which can only be earned otherwise by killing a Chaos dwogre, by killing a Chaos dwarf (only the Chaos Dwarves in Chaos Dwarf Battlefield drop it, though it is extremely rare), or by buying from other players. They also have a chance of dropping the Hand Cannon and it's ammo around 100 Hand cannon shot although it is rare.
Cannoneers attack mainly with slow but powerful ranged attacks that hit a maximum of 38 damage, though they also use melee, which only hits up to 11. They will change their attack styles according to protection prayers (for example, they will only use melee if Protect from Missiles is used). These monsters can be killed after the quest Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf in the Chaos Dwarf Battlefield, which is reached through the tunnel by the gold ore vein in the South West corner of Keldagrim mines.
