Cannibal is a Fallout 3 Perk.

With the Cannibal perk, when you’re in Sneak mode, you gain the option to eat a corpse to regain Health. But every time you feed, you lose Karma, and if the act is witnessed, it is considered a crime against nature.

Notes

  • If the player is caught devouring a corpse, friendly NPC's (excluding followers) will turn hostile.
  • Each corpse restores 25 health, adds 2 rads of radiation, and reduces karma by 1 point.
  • The player can only eat humans and ghouls.
  • Feral ghouls are inedible.
  • Every time you search a Human or Ghoul corpse while in sneak mode, you are asked if you wish to Search or Devour (unless you've already devoured that body).
  • With this perk, you have a dialogue option with Jack Smith in Andale after breaking into his basement that you thought it would have been rude to grab a snack. This makes you friendly with the residents of Andale (without the perk, this option requires a speech check).
  • Since the karma drop is extremely minimal, Good players can still stay Good with this perk even if the PC eats many corpses.
  • There is a fairly long animation each time a corpse is devoured - roughly the time it takes to drink from a sink of water twice. As such, only extremely patient players will find themselves using this perk often - many players will avoid using it after trying it a few times.

Bugs

  • Bodies that have been vaporized into ash or dissolved into goo as a result of the use of Energy Weapons are normally NOT edible, unless you act quickly in the timespan between the death of an opponent and the turning into ash/goo.
  • A similar glitch in the Operation: Anchorage DLC functions the same way, and allows you to devour holographic corpses if you act quickly before they disappear.

Mortblossoms also appear in Edge's Whyt minigame, Ninja Blade Glade, where they are the weakest enemies and can be killed with a single shuriken.

Cannibal was Barosa Warren's personal starship while he was the manager of the Galactic Outdoor Survival School.

Characteristics

The ship used that name because it was cannibalized with parts of other ships, commonly incompatible: The main parts came from almost thirty different manufacturers; the manufacturers of the minor parts are countless.

The hull itself combined those of a Kuat Systems Engineering Firespray-class patrol and attack craft and a Ckratar Crafts Venturer-class freighter.

The power converters had been stolen from Koensayr Manufacturing, the primary sensor array was from Primarin Starshipwrights Union, and the two flight computers came from a Gamma-class assault shuttle.

History

Warren obtained the ship or its part as a payment from a student who had a talent for ship design and repairs, but not for finances. He quickly became the personal owner of the ship with his friend Casti Tholon as first officer.
