A buff is a type of spell that improves the target's characteristics. The target might be the caster, teammates, or summons. The effect of the buff might last a set number of turns or for the duration of the battle. All classes have at least one buff spell in their arsenal.

The effects of a buff can be removed by unbewitchment spells.

An Example of Buff Stacking

An enhancement to a character's statistics for a period of time. Buffs can come from items, profession skills, or even from NPCs.

Each buff has a category that they fit into. Most buffs in that same category cannot be activated at the same time. Activating another buff in the same category will either cancel out the first buff of that category, or not allow you to activate the buff. Also, buffs in the same category usually have the same reuse timer. So, even if the buff from the same category has expired, the reuse timer from that buff may prevent you from using another buff in the same category.

Table of contents

Category A

Except where noted, these buffs cannot be used together. Wild force shards have their own cooldown timer and use the Stim buff slot.

Category B

Except where noted, these buffs cannot be used together, plus, they share the same reuse timer.

Category C

Except where noted, these buffs can be used together, and do not share the same reuse timer.

Category D

The following buffs will activate cooldown for all buffs in this group.

Party buff icon.

The party buffs affect an area around the caster. Of course, the caster himself will also benefit from the spell.
Every affected player will be able to see this new status in the condition indicator. It will be displayed as a green arrow pointing upwards.
The needed mana to cast a party buff depends on the amount of party members that will be affected. For every further member, the costs will be slightly higher.

One of the party buffs.

Every vocation will have its own party buff spell:
