A Bronze platebody is the weakest of all platebodies (except Khazard platebody). It has no requirement to equip and provides a greater Defence bonus than a bronze chainbody. Like all platebodies, however, it gives a crippling negative bonus to the user's Ranged and Magic stats. It is suggested that players training either Magic or Ranged to use robes, chainbody, ranged armour, or even no armour at all.

Doing so will yield 62.5 Smithing experience. They can be bought from Horvik's Armour Shop or Zenesha's Plate Mail Body Shop. They are sometimes dropped by skeletons.
