The Brimhaven Dungeon, also known as Karamja Dungeon, is located south-west of Brimhaven on the member's portion of the island of Karamja. The dungeon is the third largest on Gielinor, surpassed only by the God Wars Dungeon and the Chaos Tunnels.
To enter the dungeon, many players must pay Saniboch, who is outside the entrance, 875 Coins each time they wish to enter the dungeon. Players who are wearing Karamja gloves 3, earned from the Karamja Achievement Diary, can enter for free.
The cost of entering the dungeon can often be easily recouped, from the drops of the many powerful monsters in the dungeon like demons, giants, and dragons. The dungeon is a popular destination for players seeking to fight Greater Demons, Black demons, Red dragons, or Metal Dragons.
The dungeon is a single combat area, and many areas are infested with aggressive Wild dogs. These have poor drops (just bones and, rarely, charms) and can easily interfere with players seeking to fight a certain creature. Most players thus prefer not to fight the dogs. One tactic to avoid one if it attacks is to run through the monster you want to attack, like a demon, and then stand so the monster is between you and the dog. After a few seconds, the dog will lose interest, allowing you to attack your intended target. The single way combat also negates the use of most summoning creatures, besides creatures like bunyips which are very helpful to lengthen your stay in the dungeon.
The Wise Old Man travelled to Karamja and ventured into Brimhaven Dungeon, which few people at the time dared to enter. Afterwards, he advised the locals to charge any adventurer who wished to enter the dungeon, which is why Saniboch charges a fee of 875 coins for any player to enter.

The dungeon can be reached by sailing from East Ardougne to Brimhaven, for a fee of 30 coins or for free when using the Ring of charos. Another sea route can be taken from Port Sarim to Musa Point, again requiring 30 coins or the Ring of Charos for a free trip. However. it is a much longer walk to the dungeon entrance from Musa Point than from Brimhaven.
Teleportation is also practical:
Players need any hatchet (other than a blessed hatchet) to hack their way through hanging vines at various points in the dungeon. Since vines block the first, empty chamber of the dungeon from the rest of the dungeon, a hatchet is absolutely necessary. Players may grab a bronze hatchet off of the table of the pirate pub to the east of the entrance. They can also be purchased at the general store to the south of the dungeon. They must pay another 875 coins to get back into the dungeon.
Besides the vines, there is a stepping stones obstacle in the dungeon that requires level 12 Agility to pass over.

The metal dragons are popular since they drop both Dragon platelegs and Dragon plateskirts, and the iron dragons and steel dragons also drop the very rare Draconic Visage.
Note that players who experience "issues" with lost connections should turn on the Protect from Melee prayer when crossing the black demon room. If your connection drops, you will not be able to eat food while the system continues combat, and could find yourself dead in the time it takes for the system to log you out.
