The Brenton-class was a type of cruiser in service to the Federation Starfleet in the late 23rd century.

The Mk I Brenton-class cruisers initially entered service on reference stardate 2/1404. Four years later (reference stardate 2/1810, the Mk III initially entered service and was followed by the Mk V type on reference stardate 2/2101. In all, 185 Brenton-class cruisers were built (108 Mk I's, 59 Mk III's, 18 Mk V's), at a rate of 12 new ships per year at the Sol IV, Cait and Morena shipyards.
