Captain Braxton was a Human Starfleet officer serving in the 29th century. During his career he was known to command the Epoch-class USS Aeon and the larger Wells-class USS Relativity, using both to travel back in time and undo changes in the timeline and in the 2370s has encountered the crews of at least two Starfleet ships of that time: that of the USS Excalibur at least once and that of the USS Voyager at least twice. (VOY episodes: "Future's End", "Relativity"; NF comic: "Double Time"; TNG novel: A Time for War, A Time for Peace)

Encounters

Braxton was first encountered by the crew of the USS Voyager in 2373 when the Aeon appeared in the Delta Quadrant and attempted to destroy Voyager after Braxton informed Captain Kathryn Janeway and her crew that there was evidence that the Intrepid-class starship was responsible for the Sol system's destruction in the 29th century. Voyager was able to disrupt the Aeon's systems, and was pulled into a temporal rift and crash-landed on Earth in 1967. Braxton was able to escape, but the Aeon fell into the hands of Henry Starling and became irretrievable.

Over the next thirty years, Braxton was forced to live as a tramp and vagrant in 20th century Los Angeles, becoming paranoid and aggressive, as he watched Starling used technology from Aeon to spark a technological revolution and get rich in the process. Following Voyager's arrival in 1996, Braxton was able to make contact with Janeway and together they managed to stop Starling in his attempt to take the Aeon to the 29th century, which originally caused the Sol system's destruction.

Following the resolution of the temporal paradox, a Captain Braxton who had not experienced these events returned Voyager to the Delta Quadrant. (VOY episodes: "Future's End, Part I", "Future's End, Part II")

The following year the crew of the USS Excalibur encountered Braxton, now commanding the USS Relativity, when Captain Mackenzie Calhoun had the Excalibur slingshot back in time in order to help the people of Haresh fight off a Redeemer attack and save their planet. Braxton transported aboard the Excalibur and attempted to convince Commander Elizabeth Shelby to go against her captain and stop their action, but she decided to support Calhoun. As the Redeemer ship approached, Braxton initially ordered that the Excalibur be disabled so that they couldn't interfere, but later ordered her destruction after Calhoun ordered a collision course with the Relativity. Just as they are about to fire, a massive Enevian starship from 1500 years in the future arrives and orders that the Relativity and the Redeemer ship depart as both Haresh and the Excalibur are under their protection. Overpowered and outgunned, Braxton and the Relativity return to the 29th century. (NF comic: "Double Time")

Voyager's next encounter with Braxton came in late 2375, when the ship was destroyed by a temporal disruptor. Braxton, now commanding the USS Relativity, had Seven of Nine transported to the Relativity prior to Voyager's destruction, and enlisted her help in traveling to Voyager at various points in its history to determine who the temporal criminal was who planted the disruptor. It was eventually determined that Braxton himself was the criminal, having succumbed to temporal psychosis at some future point. The original Braxton plus two other versions recovered by the Relativity were to be reintegrated and he would stand trial for the crimes that he was going to commit. (VOY episode: "Relativity")

Captain Braxton was a Starfleet officer from the 29th century.

Braxton had several interactions with the crew of the USS Voyager during the latter half of the 24th century. (VOY: "Future's End", "Future's End, Part II", "Relativity")

As Future Guy

See main article: Future Guy

Although the events leading up to this are somewhat vague captain Braxton became the leader of a Temporal Cold War faction based in the 29th century. It was his intention to take alter his time by conquering the galaxy of the 24th century however intervention from temporal agent Daniels prevented this. (Star Trek: Pioneer (PNR): "Destiny of Freedom")

After loosing his ability to travel through time but still able to communicate through it, he would later bribe the Sentrath Imperium of 2387 into attacking the Federation, advance the technology of the 22nd century Suliban Cabal and be responsible for many paradoxes throughout history. (Star Trek: Pioneer (PNR): "Time's Legacy"; Star Trek: Enterprise)

It has been highly speculated that Braxton became the humanoid figure who would attempt to alter the events of the 22nd century throughout Star Trek: Enterprise, something which is featured in the fan fiction series Star Trek: Pioneer (PNR). He is perhaps the prime suspect, as both he and the mysterious figure originate from the 29th century. If this turns out to be true, however, one has to wonder why he would only be able to communicate through time and not travel through it as he does on Star Trek: Voyager (in Star Trek: Pioneer this is explained by subtle changes in the timeline caused by the Battle of Beta Frontier that stop Braxton from getting use of temporal technology).
Allan G. Royal portrayed Braxton in "Future's End," with Bruce McGill taking the role in "Relativity."
One possible speculation for the two faces of Braxton is with all the temporal incursions surrounding Starling, and Voyager and indirectly the Temporal Cold War of the 22nd century, could possibly have resulted in Braxton having a different mother than before, or perhaps on the father's side minor changes in lineage that had little to no effect on the family name but was enough to affect the gene pool. Either way, we see the different face.
