"Welcome to Boz Pity...I read it's some sort of graveyard planet. But the size of the memorials..."
Anakin Skywalker to Bail Prestor Organa

Boz Pity was a planet in the Mid Rim, between Bimmisaari and Hutt Space.

Boz Pity is locked in synchronous orbit with the black rock called mourn. Known as the "Graveyard World" since the Ductavis Era, it was famed for its impressive collection of large graves and towering ruins of a long forgotten civilization known as the Gargantelles. When these giants attracted the attention of the Hutts on Nal Hutta as potential slaves, they sent many ships in attempts to capture these beings. Even the Nikto and t'landa Til attempted to gather slaves, however, each mission ended in terrible failure. The Gargantelles, scared by these invaders ate the intruders and diplomats sent. In retaliation, the Hutts' had a group of Nimbanese bargain with Mourn for the use of Sultan Nastuonodon long forgotten droids, piting the army against Boz Pity.

Over the next decade, Boz Pity was slowly depopulated by the droids. The Gargantelles built memorials for their fallen. When the last of the giants were slain, the droids returned to Mourn and destroyed themselves.

The Star Destroyer Intervention crash-landed on Boz Pity.

During the Clone Wars, Boz Pity was used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems as a staging area for Coreward assaults. As such, it was a prime target for the Galactic Republic during the Outer Rim Sieges.[2]

The Battle of Boz Pity occurred alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi's obsessive search for Asajj Ventress, whereupon Obi-Wan rendezvoused with Mace Windu's strike team onboard Intervention. Anakin Skywalker made a hard landing on the planet's surface, and the Jedi soon came into contact with General Grievous's forces.[2]

Victory was eventually achieved by the Republic forces, but at a heavy toll, including the death of Jedi Masters Soon Bayts and Adi Gallia. On the side of the Separatists, Commander Asajj Ventress faked her own death to escape from the war[2]. Following the Siege of Saleucami, Quinlan Vos was assigned to Boz Pity to take command of the clone troopers staged there[3]. He later joined Yoda on Kashyyyk for the Battle of Kachirho.

During the early Galactic Civil War, the Rebel Alliance considered basing themselves on Boz Pity, but chose Yavin 4 instead.

However, after the loss of the Yavin base after the Battle of Yavin and the recovery of a lost list of replacement planets put together by Bail Organa, Boz Pity was made the new base. Unfortunately the bounty hunter Boba Fett was able to place a tracker on a Rebel's (namely Ackbar's) R2 unit during a previous mission, leading the Empire to attack the new base mere hours after the Alliance's Renegade Squadron had arrived themselves. It was only due to the actions of the Renegade Squadron that a major disaster was averted.[4]
