Blue Dragons are the second weakest chromatic dragons, but are still fairly powerful monsters. An anti-dragonfire shield is essential when meleeing them, but may be skipped if ranging or maging them. They are a very popular monster to slay because the blue dragonhides and dragon bones they drop can be sold for 7,182 coins.
If given blue dragons as a slayer task a player may kill baby blue dragons instead. When fighting these with melee an abyssal whip is also a good choice for a weapon for a player with 85+ strength, especially with a super strength and super attack potion.

The area is an ideal spot for rangers and mages, but due to its popularity, is often crowded. Players of low to medium combat levels may face more potential dangers than those of higher levels. Level 97+ players should consider this a very good spot in an unpopulated world, however, it is a very popular spot, so it may take time to find such a world.
Is only available for players who completed "Watchtower" quest. This place has many safespots for ranging or maging and with six dragons here it is easy to get one for yourself. This spot is not too far from Yanille or Castle wars bank. A commonly used method is to use the Ring of duelling to get to Castle wars bank once the player has filled up his inventory, then he will run back to ogre enclave to repeat the process.
Containing only one dragon this is generally not an ideal place for training on them. It is in the cave below and it is in a cage.
The dragons here may only be attacked if you were assigned blue dragons as your slayer task by Kuradal. There are safe spots for rangers and mages.
Blue dragons, like all dragons, have very high defence. Their melee attack can hit up to 10. As with all dragons, an anti-dragon shield or dragonfire shield is essential when fighting blue dragons, as it reduces the maximum hit of their breath from 50+ to about 5 (0 if used with or an anti-fire potion.) If a player wishes to kill them with a two handed weapon, a simple anti-fire potion greatly decreases the accuracy and average damage of their dragon-fire attack. For melee, it is best to use stabbing weapons when killing these dragons.
Ranging from a safe spot is the most popular way to kill them (Crossbows/throwing knives/darts are recommended, since you can use it in conjunction with an anti-dragon shield). They can also be attacked safely with melee using a halberd since a regular chromatic dragon's fire is not long ranged.
