In Final Fantasy VIII, Quistis can learn Blue Magic as her Limit Break. Enemies which use the special skill occasionally drop items that will enable Quistis to learn the same skill by using the item.

Laser Eye Quistis fires an Eye Beam at an enemy Already Learned
Ultra Waves Sonic waves rush around the field and hit all enemies. Spider Web
Electrocute Bolts of Lightning rush around Quistis' body that strike an enemy dealing thunder damage. Coral Fragment
LV? Death Casts Death on random enemies. Curse Spike
Degenerator Eliminates an enemy from battle. Doesn't work on Bosses, Tonberry, Grat, and Vysage. Black Hole
Aqua Breath Fires a water wave at all enemies, dealing Water damage. Water Crystal
Micro Missiles Fires several missiles at an enemy that cuts its HP down depending on crisis level. Gravity elemental attack. Missile
Acid Quistis hits an enemy with poison, dealing poison damage and inflicting Poison, Vit 0 and/or Blind. Mystery Fluid
Gatling Gun Quistis fires a wave of bullets at enemy. Running Fire
Fire Breath Quistis fires a wave of fire at all enemies dealing fire damage. Inferno Fang
Bad Breath Inflicts Poison, Darkness, Silence, Sleep, Slow, Confuse, Berserk, Stop, Petrify, Zombie, Vit 0 and sometimes Doom. Malboro Tentacle
White Wind Restores the HP of all Party Members. Whisper
Homing Laser Quistis fires a laser at an enemy for medium damage. Laser Cannon
Mighty Guard Quistis casts Shell, Protect, Regen, Haste, Float and sometimes Aura on the party. Barrier
Ray Bomb Quistis sweeps a laser across the battle field that blows all enemies into the air. Power Generator
Shockwave Pulsar Quistis sucks all enemies up into the sky and they are blasted with a gravitational ball of energy. It is Griever's special attack. This is the only attack which allows Quistis to inflict more than 9999 points of damage. Dark Matter
