Black Bears can be found in forests in RuneScape including south east of Varrock and just east outside Ardougne. They can also be found between the Goblin Village and the dwarf encampment (below the Mind altar ruins) or the lower-levelled Wilderness. They are also located on Entrana. They always drop bones, bear fur, and raw bear meat.

They can be killed in the place of bears for a bears slayer assignment.

Each item a bear drops can be of use, specifically for new players. The fur can be sold to a fur trader for 12 coins, the meat can be cooked and consumed to heal 3 Hitpoints, and the bones can be buried for Prayer experience.

Trivia

• Although Black Bears have black fur, the fur they drop when killed is brown.
