Big Throw

Big Throw is an ability the character Luca posesses in the game Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. It is a special ability that allows her to throw her weapon at enemies, dealing base attack damage in the back row as well as the front row (the game says it does slightly more damage, but it is never shown in combat outside of Moon Phase). Big Throw requires a very small charge time before it is executed. As with all special abilities, Big Throw is affect by the current Moon Phase. This ability is useful during the Full Moon phase, which makes the standard attack command deal less damage but Big Throw will be unaffected, allowing you to deal base damage to enemies without a damage reduction. It is also useful during the New Moon phase, allowing Big Throw to deal more damage than your standard attack command. Some weapons that Luca uses, such as the Tomahawk, ignore the damage reduction based on what row you are in will not benefit from this command (besides the effects of the current moon phase).
