Ben Stryker was an agent employed by the United States Government. He was supposed to track down Lt. Colonel Travis Morgan, the Warlord, who was at the time believed to have been a communist traitor. Although Morgan initially escaped him, Stryker became obsessed with tracking him down, and eventually followed him to the magical world of Skartaris. He set up traps for Warlord in a secluded forest, where he hunted him to the death like an animal, holding Warlord's friends Machiste and Mariah captive. As soon as Morgan got his own gun back, he shot Stryker in the face and killed him.
Later, information gained from Stryker's personal search for Skartaris would lead Warlord's daughter, Jennifer Morgan to find him as well.
