Ballatrix was a double star system located in the Orion constellation, roughly 324 light years away from Earth. It was composed of a white dwarf and a companion star. Material had been siphoned off the companion star into the white dwarf until it went nova in 1644. The Sentience fed on the energy of the nova. (NA: Nightshade)
Bellatrix space saw a pitched battle in the mid-26th century, in which Dalek forces routed Spacefleet. The Tisiphone, a Fury-class Spacefleet fighter under the command of Admiral Isaac Summerfield, vanished at the end of the battle; her crew were presumed deserters. The Clotho, under command of Captain Sarah Groenewegen, was the only ship that survived the battle. (NA: Return of the Living Dad)

Bellatrix is an arid dry planet located in Green Lantern Sector 1414. It is the home of the Blood-Sisters and the birth place of famed Green Lantern Corps member Boodikka. Boodikka and her fellow Blood-Sisters held to a strong sense of justice, and they viciously defended their world against intergalactic raiders and pirates. As time went on, Boodikka felt that the Blood-Sisters had become too mercenary in their tactics, and had lost their thirst for true justice. It was at this time that Boodikka was recruited to join the Green Lantern Corps. The Blood-Sisters felt betrayed by this decision and one in particular, Zale, warned Boodikka that could never again return to the planet of her birth. Boodikka did eventually return however, years later. She came to Bellatrix on a mission as a member of the newly commissioned Alpha Lantern Corps. [1]
