The Battle of XI Boötis A was a major battle in the early years of the Human-Covenant War. The human fleet, consisting of 70 ships, engaged 8 enemy warships, destroying the enemy force but losing a total of 30 ships in the process.^[1] Although the UNSC lost nearly half their ships, it is still considered one of the few human naval victories of the war.
