The Battle of Thustra was a battle of the Clone Wars.
Ten hours after Galactic Republic forces landed on Thustra, the native Sephi attacked them. The Republic army had been told to avoid engaging the Sephi, but they attacked first, despite being outnumbered by the Republic force. Master Tyffix and Master Tyr were killed when the Sephi blew up the command center. Jedi Padawans Cal and Pix called Coruscant for reinforcements, and were surprised when Yoda arrived.
Yoda and Cal went to negotiate with King Alaric to join the Republican side, however Alaric insisted not to rejoin because of increasing corruption within the Republican Senate. Both were discussing the matter in a peaceful, serene manner while the battle raged outdoors. After Pix was tricked into believing Yoda and Cal were executed, she decided to carry out a preemptive attack on the Sephi army. When King Alaric realized his troops needed help to prevent such an ambush, he attempted to shoot Yoda, knowing that Yoda would have to deflect the shot, thus his death would strengthen the resolve of his armies and allies. The deflected shot killed Alaric, who pleaded with Yoda in his last breaths to remember the good times they had shared together.
Back within the Senate at Coruscant, Senator Navi attempted to mislead the assembly by declaring that Yoda had been killed in the battle. Yoda interrupted his speech and the Senator was promptly arrested for crimes against the Republic and conspiracy to commit murder.
The death of Alaric stirred other systems to assist the Sephi in resisting the Republican takeover. The battle was lost and Thustra remained outside of Republican control. Yoda, disheartened by his friend's death, questioned whether or not the Clone Wars was really worth fighting at all.
