History

Barney Sands was the next-door neighbor of Barry Allen, the Flash. He lived with parents Fred and Ethel, and his older brother. A promising artist even from a young age, Barney would eventually grow up to be the artist for the Justice League of America comic book.^[1] On one occasion, a wraith-like space explorer drew his concept for a "master villain" from his imagination, and made the villain real, causing the Flash no end of trouble.^[2]
