Barbariccia is an optional boss in the Dawn of Souls remake of the original Final Fantasy. The party finds her on the tenth level of the Hellfire Chasm and must defeat either her or Rubicante to exit the dungeon. Her sprite is identical to that of her incarnation in Final Fantasy IV.

Barbariccia will not cover herself in her hair like in Final Fantasy IV. This coupled with her amazingly low Defense stat make physical attacks extremely effective against her. Because of her high Magic Defense stat, your Black Wizard is better off buffing your physical attackers with Haste and Temper rather than casting spells against Barbariccia. She alternates her attacks between a physical strike that will hit for around 250 damage, the Ray move, which usually misses, and the powerful Cyclone skill. Cyclone can deal over 300 damage to the entire party, and Barbariccia may use it twice in a row. For this reason, your party should be above level 55 when fighting her and your White Wizard should cast Healaga every single turn, just in case. As long as your melee fighters are Hasted and Tempered, Barbariccia should go down quickly.
