Auckland was a city located on the North Island of New Zealand, Earth.

By the 24th century, the New Zealand Penal Settlement was located near the city. Auckland Control was also located in the city, and was responsible for directing shuttlecraft to various locations around the region. (VOY novelization: Caretaker)

It is the largest city in the country.
