History

The Joker used power stolen from Mr. Mxyzptlk to create an alternate reality that he ruled alongside a distorted version of the Justice League. Aubrey Sparks was given the powers of Scorch to be his counterpart to the "Earth Angel" Supergirl. When the Joker was defeated, Mr. Mxyzptlk used his powers to allow Aubrey Sparks to keep the power Joker had given her, thus letting her continue to be Scorch after most of what the Joker had changed was undone. [1]

She later would fight Superman and the Martian Manhunter several times before inadvertently assisting in the unleashing of "Fernus" from within the Martian Manhunter.
