Not much has been revealed about the mercenary known as Armada, including his origin and early history. In his first recorded exploit, Armada was hired by the villain Mysterio to obtain for him an experimental "DIT" chip, which could project thoughts as visible illusions. Armada was confronted by Spider-Man but escaped with the chip. Mysterio then used the chip to attempt to assassinate Spider-Man, but Spider-Man defeated Mysterio and his ally. Later, Armada and Mysterio teamed up to fight Spider-Man, but were defeated again. Armada ended his pact with Mysterio, believing that he had been tricked.
Armada possesses no superhuman powers, but relies on his armor and hi-tech weaponry. His armor provides him with flight capability and superhuman strength, reflexes, and resistance to injury. His weapons are in the form of small robots that surround him and/or are stored in his armor. Each robot is unique in some respects, including each having its own unique name (all female names), but most have similar equipment for laser, gas, and other offensive attacks.
A fleet is a large grouping of starships travelling together or assigned to particular duty.
The term fleet can be applied to any significant gathering of starships as well as to refer to the totality of a power's space based forces. Military powers with large numbers of vessels often organise their forces into specific fleets commonly referred to by a numerical designation.
During wartime the Breen organize their forces in brot'kar, which are fleets based on the state that contributed the vessels. As such the size of brot'kars vary as more powerful states can field hundreds of vessels while the lesser states might only be able to contribute a dozen. (The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
Cardassian Union orders operated fleets, called shodaro of 150 - 300 starships. A shodar would be commanded by a jagul or gul. (The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
The Klingon Defence Force referred to their fleets as battlegroups. These battlegroups were commanded by a high ranking Klingon general. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "Regression", "Pressure Points")
The Romulan Star Navy's Avara (century) designation was for their fleet units of around one hundred vessels. (The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
Starfleet operated numerous numerical fleets made up of hundreds of starships. These fleets were usually commanded by a high ranking flag officer, such as an Admiral or Fleet Admiral. These fleets were usually based around several tactical wings. (The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon; Star Trek: Swiftfire)

Armada is a Transformers franchise that launched in the year 2002. It was the first Transformers franchise to be completely co-developed by Hasbro and Takara. Until Armada, every Transformers franchise had been led by one company or the other. It is the first franchise in the Unicron Trilogy, and was followed by Energon and Cybertron. Each show revolved around the title antagonist, Unicron.
The Armada franchise featured the following primary components:
Armada also had a large amount of ancillary merchandise, sometimes referred to by fans as artifacts. Examples include birthday cards, storybooks, and coloring books. Merchandise of this sort had been rare during the years of Beast Wars, Beast Machines, and Robots in Disguise.
Armada also introduced a brand new faction to the Transformers multiverse: Mini-Cons.
