A close-up view of Arhein's face

Arhein runs the Catherby General store on a pier just south of the bank, near the Charter Ship. He also plays a small part in the Merlin's Crystal quest and the One Small Favour quest.

Arhein owns a ship on the pier, which he uses to deliver candles to Keep La Faye, a fortress to the south. He does not allow players to ride his ship, although it is possible to sneak aboard it to get to Keep La Faye by hiding in a crate near the candle shop in Catherby. He sells 40 pineapples and 80 seaweed per day (Runescape server time) for 2 coins each. You must talk to him to get the option to buy them. If you do not buy the full amount of either, only the balance will be available to you until such time as you finish buying that balance, be that 1 day or 30 days later.

As of an update on 20 October 2009, Arhein sells pineapples and seaweed in noted form.

Notes

  • Being the closest General Store to Seers' Village, before the Personalised Shops update, Arhein would usually have several thousand bows in stock on all servers, usually going up to maple longbows. One strategy some people used was to buy unstrung maple bows from Arhein, string them, then use High Alchemy to make some money back.
  • Players also often sell their burnt fish to him to avoid dropping them. Before the Personalised Shops update, there were usually many crossbow stocks, empty oysters, and bolt tips in stock.
