Aquaman (Volume 1) was an ongoing title that began publication in 1962. Featuring the titular hero Aquaman, the title continued the character's publishing history from its run as a back-up feature in Adventure Comics. The series initially ran for 56 issues and was discontinued in 1971. In 1977, the series was revived and continued its original numbering, but was canceled by issue #63 as one of several titles that were discontinued as part of the DC Implosion. The story for what would have been issue #64 was printed in Adventure Comics #462.
