The Anubys is a Trophy Rare Game enemy in the game Final Fantasy XII.

Bestiary Entry

Derivation: Abysteel

Abysteel transformed by feeding on creatures possessing powerful magicks. Hunted in the Sochen Cave Palace.

Its location is the secret room that does not appear in the map, called Mirror of the Soul, where the player may obtain the Iga Blade or a Koga Blade. The player has to complete the waterfall puzzle, and once the player reaches this room, Anubys will drop by for a visit. If you already obtained the blade earlier in the game you do not need to re-complete the puzzle. Enter the secret room through the door via Mirror of Soul. Exit via the door into Falls of Time. Turn around and reenter the secret room. Anubys will spawn.

Anubys is likely derived from the name Anubis, the Egyptian god of death.
