—Amidatelion

Amidatelion (アミダテリオン, Amidaterion), nicknamed Goldenrod by Layle, is a Yuke character in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers. Though Amidatelion speaks in a feminine voice, others refer to the Yuke as a "he", due to using a male suit of armor for most of the game. Amidatelion is an antagonistic Crystal Bearer who is stealing Crystal Idols. Her true motives, however are to restore the Yuke Tribe Crystal to bring her people back. She is voiced by Atsuko Tanaka in the Japanese version and Caitlin Glass in the English version.

Story

Amidatelion's second body.

The Yuke first appears to Layle aboard the Alexis where she steals the crystal shards used to power the ship. Chased by Layle at first, Amidatelion eventually gains the Clavat's trust as they attempt to escape Jegran. But, with her armor damaged, Amidatelion is forced to return to her dimension to transfer her being into a new suit of armor, that of a female. With Layle's aid, Amidatelion manages to take the Yuke Crystal shards from the the Aerial Prison. Later in the Crystal Chamber, showing sincerity in the revival of her race and stating that she set up any counters to protect the Lilty Crystal by asking for her brethren's aid, Amidatelion sacrifices herself to save Layle by warping Jegran's crystal arm to crystalize herself instead. Before it completely consumes her, Amidatelion pleas Layle to finish what she started.
