History

The Conflicts were mainly fought in the Expansion Region over the rights of corporations to sponsor colonization and settlement. The first was in 17,000 BBY and the last was 3,017 BBY.[1] Coruscant won all of the wars.

The Alsakan battle cruisers developed during the final conflict went on to inspire the Republic Invincible-class Dreadnaught Heavy Cruiser.

During the conflicts, numerous locations and items were destroyed. One such was Belgoth's Beacon, a hyperspace beacon and satellite dating from around 25,100 BBY. This artifact was destroyed in the Second Alsakan Conflict.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Alsakan Wars resembles the real-world Punic Wars, in which Rome fought Carthage for dominance of the Mediterranean Sea. Rome won all three wars, though it came close to defeat several times.
