Ali Cat is a local un-owned cat found in Pollnivneach who can be spoken to with the aid of the Amulet of Catspeak, one of the many magical translation trinkets of RuneScape. Ali Cat is involved in the Smoking Kills quest, in which he appears when the player attempts to descend into the Pollnivneach Slayer Dungeon through the well in the centre of the town, telling them that they can't go down there, as there is smoke and Banshees, which, without the right protection (a Face mask and Earmuffs), will kill the player. Ali Cat refers the player to Catolax, a deceased Slayer Master who resides in the tombs at Ullek, to help resolve the issue.

Trivia

  • His name is a play on "Alley Cat", a term for a feral cat or one that does not have owners. Also, his name is Ali, a very common name for the area.
  • During the quest, when a player tries to go down a well without wearing Catspeak amulet, the cutscene that follows depicts the cat playing with the player. However, once the Catspeak amulet is worn, the cutscene shows that the cat is actually trying to warn the player from going into the well, where he then tells the player that they will need a combination of a Face mask and Earmuffs to go down into the well, for it is both smokey and full of Banshees.
  • Ali Cat seems to resemble a white Wily cat
