Alexandre Plante (born May 9, 1989) is an ice hockey defenceman. He plays for the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League, and was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers 15th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Alex is the son of former National Hockey League defenceman Cam Plante. His brother Tyler Plante is a goaltender in the Florida Panthers organization.
On May 28, 2009 the Edmonton Oilers signed Plante to a three-year NHL entry level contract.
