EQ2 character classes are organized in a symmetrical fashion. There are four major archetypes of classes: Fighter, Mage, Priest, and Scout. Each archetype contains two neutral classes (available to anyone), two good classes, and two evil classes. The good and evil classes are restricted to good and evil home cities, respectively. For an overview of classes, see: Choosing Your Class

| Examine | He's in a pretty nasty spot, in a pretty nasty pot. With some cabbage. |
| Notable features | He is about to be boiled alive in a large cauldron. |
The Adventurer is a non-player character who is cooked in a cauldron and eaten by the Troll Burntmeat in a cutscene during the My Arm's Big Adventure quest.
He appears to be armourless as his items (Dragon chainbody, Dragon platelegs, Dragon medium helmet, Abyssal whip, a Shark, and some Coins) are strewn over the floor.
The Adventurer has been captured by unknown means, most likely he was captured while exploring the Troll Stronghold. He has been stripped of his armour and clothes and placed in the cooking pot in the centre of the kitchen.
Burntmeat discovers Goutweed in the Adventurers Dragon plate legs, Burntmeat demands to know where it came from claiming that the Adventurer had stolen it from him.
The Adventurer hopes by that telling Burntmeat where he got the Goutweed from he will then be released, however this plan backfires as Burntmeat decides to boil him into a stew anyway after hearing about the origin of the Goutweed.
Burntmeat then realises that Goutweed can be grown again and informs the player that his assistant, My Arm, will need help growing it.
The adventurer apparently gave Burntmeat a stomachache because he forgot to wash the adventurer's sweaty feet before placing him in the cauldron with the other 'ingredients' (cabbage), and boiling him alive, after eating him Burntmeat gets ill, he claims this was a justifiable reason for cooking him when the player is disgusted at the news.
The player asks about the adventurer's items, to which Burntmeat replies that he has thrown them away, as they were no good for eating (the dragon armour and coins were hard on his teeth and the abyssal whip got stuck down his throat). He even throws away the shark, despite that being edible.

Designed as a personal sporting craft before the ascent of the Galactic Empire, Adventurer ships used hoverjets in place of repulsorlifts. Without shields, weapons or an astromech droid slot, the vintage ship was unsuited for any activity beyond pleasure rides. Akanah Norand Goss Pell and Luke Skywalker traveled to several planets in her Adventurer, the Mud Sloth.

Adventurer and self-proclaimed hero Waylon McCrane was hired by the village of Salamanca to stop the strange goings on in the woods. He's gotten himself in a bit over his head, but he's still an impressive shot with a bow.
