The Adapted Biogel is an ingestible item added to Fallout 3 in the Mothership Zeta add-on.


The Adapted Biogel restores a minimum of 90 to a maximum of 150 HP based on the Medicine skill (180 with Fast Metabolism).


Biochemical Anomaly

Both the Alien and Adapted Biogel may cause one of ten random effects. There is a 50% chance that an effect is applied and each effect lasts 30 seconds. Using more than one biogel at once can cause more than one effect to be present at a time although it is not possible to be affected by the same effect multiple times at once (for example, you can suffer from -1 PER, +2 AGL, -1 INT all at the same time, but not multiple -1 INT etc).

This makes the Adapted Biogel by far the best healing item in the game. It surpasses stimpaks in healing as well as a 50/50 chance for a temporary positive side effect. Even if a negative side effect is acquired, the radiation and deductions are barely noticeable. Lowered Intelligence does not reduce skill points when you level, nor does reduced Endurance lower your HP(it just reduces resistance).


Adapted Biogel can only be obtained from Elliot Tercorien after he converts it from the regular Alien Biogel.
